Selena Gomez

Selena Marie Gomez (/s@'li:n@ "goUmez"/ s@-LEE'n@ GOH-; born July 22, 1992) is an American actor, singer, and producer. Gomez began her acting career in 2002 in the children's TV series Barney & Friends. When she was a teenager, she rose to prominence in the role of Alex Russo on the Disney Channel television series Wizards of Waverly Place (2007-2012). In addition to her TV career, Gomez appeared in the films Another Cinderella Story (2008), Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie (2009), Ramona and Beezus (2010), Monte Carlo (2011), Spring Breakers (2012), Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (2016), and The Dead Don't Die (2019) as well as voiced Mavis in the Hotel Transylvania film franchise (2012-2022). Gomez via July Moon Productions, executive produced 13 Reasons Why (2017-2022) and Living Undocumented (1919). Additionally, she executive produces and is a star in the HBO Max cooking series Selena + Chef (2020-2022) and the Hulu comedy show Only Murders in the Building (2021-present). The latter series earned Gomez not only praise from the critics but also nominations for a Golden Globe Award, and as producer as well as a Primetime Emmy Award .Gomez released three albums with her group, Selena Gomez & the Scene, all of which made it to the top ten on the US Billboard 200 and were certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA): Kiss & Tell (2009), A Year Without Rain (2010), and When the Sun Goes Down (2011). Stars Dance, her debut album as a solo artist was a massive success in the U.S. Billboard 200 charted her debut solo album entitled Stars Dance (2013). The album's lead single, "Come & Get It" was a top ten hit on the US Billboard Hot 100. Gomez's sophomore album, Revival (2015) debuted at the top spot in the US. It was certified platinum by RIAA and spawned three top-ten entries in the US: "Good for You" and "Same Old Love" and "Hands to Myself". Rare (2020), her third studio album was her third straight number one album. The album's main track, "Lose You To Love Me", became her first number-one in the US and Canada.
